After arrival, enjoy your first walk through the famous blue-painted medina. Wander through narrow alleyways lined with artisan shops, colorful doorways, and peaceful squares. This first evening allows you to soak in the calm atmosphere that makes Chefchaouen one of Morocco’s most photogenic towns. Dinner and overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Fes

The morning is dedicated to further exploring Chefchaouen at a relaxed pace. Visit the main square, discover hidden corners of the medina, and admire views of the surrounding mountains from scenic viewpoints.

Around midday, depart toward Fes, traveling through fertile countryside and traditional villages. By late afternoon or early evening, arrive in Fes, one of Morocco’s most historic cities. After settling in, enjoy dinner and prepare for a full day of exploration ahead.

Day 3: Fes – Guided City Tour

Today is devoted to discovering Fes with a knowledgeable local guide. Begin in the UNESCO-listed medina, one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world. Explore historic religious schools, fountains, mosques, and lively souks organized by traditional crafts.

Visit the famous tanneries where leather is processed using centuries-old techniques, and observe artisans at work shaping metal, wood, and ceramics. After lunch in the medina, continue exploring lesser-known neighborhoods and viewpoints overlooking the old city. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight in Fes.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Merzouga

Depart early toward southern Morocco, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture and clean streets, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco.”

Continue through vast cedar forests where Barbary macaques live freely among ancient trees. After lunch en route, the scenery gradually shifts from green mountains to arid plains and desert landscapes. By sunset, arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara, where the first views of the golden dunes create a magical welcome. Dinner and overnight near the desert.

Day 5: Merzouga – Sahara Desert Experience

Enjoy a relaxed morning in Merzouga, with time to explore the surrounding area or simply admire the desert landscape. In the afternoon, prepare for one of the highlights of the tour: a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes.

Ride across rolling sand hills as the sun slowly sets, painting the desert in warm shades of gold and orange. Reach a desert camp nestled among the dunes, where you will enjoy dinner, traditional music, and a peaceful night beneath a vast, star-filled sky.

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Wake early to witness sunrise over the dunes before leaving the Sahara. Travel through desert towns and palm oases, gradually entering the mountainous landscapes of eastern Morocco.

Arrive at the Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon with towering rock walls carved by a flowing river. Enjoy time to walk through the gorge and admire its dramatic scale. After lunch, continue toward the Dades Valley, known for its rugged scenery, winding roads, and striking rock formations. Dinner and overnight in the valley.
